Daniel Brauchli is a luthier of exceptional quality who has redesigned the Weissenborn style of guitar.  In the video below I am playing one of his Tasmanian Blackwood acoustic slide guitars.  It has a K&K pickup that is sensational to say the least – the amplified sound always turns heads and gets positive comments from sound guys (and gals).  There really is no instrument like it.

Myth 1 – You Need a Special Guitar

No – you can easily make an electric or acoustic guitar into a lap guitar.   A  post is coming with a video that shows you how I can take an acoustic guitar and set it up for lap slide and be playing it in under 10 minutes!

Myth 2 – Open Tunings are Hard

Guess what?  No! If you can tune your guitar to standard tuning ie.  EADGBD then you can tune your guitar to an ‘alternative’ tuning.  I’ll be posting videos and content to show you how.

Myth 3 – There is Not Much Information on Playing Lap Guitar on the Internet

You know the answer is… No.  There is a wealth of information out there if you know where to look.   In the future I’ll be posting info about what, where and how.
